Children's Mental Health Ontario Mental health still carries a stigma... we joke about it, we ignore it, we make fun of people who have mental health problems where we wouldn't dream of making fun of someone with almost any other kind of health problem.
What about our own children, or our kid's friends? We'd have a broken leg looked after immediately but would we turn a blind eye to an emotional disturbance, a mental illness? Learn more about mental illness and children.

ScouterWIKI This is a wiki site- one that anyone who is registered can collaborate on, add content to and edit. It has extensive information on badges and programs. It describes itself as "An online resource for Scouts Canada leaders". Since any registered user can add or edit the information on a "wiki" site, it is good to keep in mind that not all information may be 100% accurate or complete. Having said that, what is on this site seems quite helpful and I recommend it to both leaders and parents. There is not likely any reason for a parent to register but you can certainly browse around for information, particularly on badges in various sections.
Note that it, like the First Lexington site, is not an official Scouts Canada site.
And if you were wondering what "Wiki" means, it's short for Wikiwiki", in Japanese, meaning "quick".
