Registration

Why register and log in?

  1. Get access to extra content, including  Powerpoint shows, as well as a link to a free PowerPoint viewer
  2. Receive email notifying you of new website features or problems or updates
  3. Be able to post anything on the Forums, ranging from humour and polls, to serious discussions.
  4. Submit an article, a web site or a camping recipe. (You can also email submissions, but that may take longer)

To do any of this, you must be registered and then "log in" to the site.  It is recommended that you log out  unless no-one else sues your computer.

How do I register?

You may use the "Register" link that will show when you click the Log-in/Out link. Just follow the instructions.  There are two "Captcha" boxes to fill out. One requires you to enter words that are hard for spammers' computers to "read" and a second one  requires you to assemble, with your mouse, a simple picture. Both take less than a minute all told and have so far prevented a single spammer from getting through to the website.

To further  keep spammers out of the Forums, you will receive, by email, a link to click (or to copy into your browser)". This verifies your email address. Then you can log in. Why all that rigamarole? To keep this  site as safe and friendly for both youth and parents as possible.

OK- the hard part is done, now you can log in!

To Log in, use the Log-in/ Out link on the Home page and then enter your user name and your password. If you register yourself, you can select your own password during registration. If I register you, the password will be randomly generated and you can easily change it after logging in. Click LOG IN and that's it!

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. The email address is on the Contact leaders page.

thank you,
