NetWoods Virtual Campsite: American site with some interesting information. Links haven't been updated for a while but soem are still active.

Insane Scouter was founded by American Scott Robertson in 1998. It bears his personal touch including 16 Steps to build a camp fire, and his devotion to Scouting is very obvious. You may also notice that he frankly discusses his learning disability and that may be helpful when Leaders deal with youth who have ADD/ADHD or similar conditions. It's an American site (not affiliated with Boy Scouts of America or Guides) and much of the information revolves around the American system, names and activities. However, Canadian Scout leaders may find some useful information and many links. Worth poking around.

Storytelling

Robert Service:This site is dedicated to poet and outdoorsman Robert Service.

The hypnotic reciting of the "Cremation of Sam McGee" is as much fun as listening to it the first time.

"There are strange things done in the midnight sun
    By the men who moil for gold;
.........
    But the queerest (sight) they ever did see
Was that night on the marge of Lake Lebarge
    I cremated Sam McGee
